The Right Triangle Shawl is my 100th published pattern! It’s fun to look back chronologically to see how my focus has changed over the years.

A Tempestuous Year
What an exhilarating ride this has been. It was about 11 months ago* that I conceived of the idea of working on a book with Felicia, featuring SweetGeorgia Yarns. Every step of the way was more work than I thought it would be, but I have absolutely no regrets and I would do it all again in a heartbeat!

Inspiration for Philodendron
Teen television dramas are one of my guilty pleasures. I also love watching period dramas, in part for the costumes and the knitwear designs they inspire. Reign, a show that focuses on Mary, Queen of Scots’ marriage to the Dauphin of France, offers the best of both of my TV watching passions.

Podcast Interview
Have you heard about The SweetGeorgia Show yet? It’s a new podcast and I’m interviewed in Episode 005!
Do check out the podcast. It’s the brainchild of Felicia Lo, founder and creative director of SweetGeorgia Yarns.

Garter Stitch Cap
It’s a guy thing! The most recent issue of Knit Simple magazine has a section on knitting for the men in your life and my Garter Stitch Cap design is the first one featured.

Diagonal Eyelet Scarf
Looking for some light and lacy summer knitting? I have a design in the spring/summer issue of Noro Knitting Magazine which was released earlier this month.
The Diagonal Eyelet Scarf was originally inspired by the ceinture fléchée, a part of the French Canadian voyageurs’ traditional costume.

Weft
Even though it’s not cozy sweater season right now, it is the perfect time to start thinking about a sweater project so it’s ready to wear when the leaves start blowing off the trees in a few months.

#tempestknit
I’ve been hard at work this year collaborating with Felicia Lo of SweetGeorgia Yarns on a book! Tempest is a collection of 11 patterns, all designed by me with SweetGeorgia Yarns.

Short-Row Stripes Blanket
I love how short rows can create undulating lines when worked in stripes; it’s fun to design using short rows.
I have a blanket pattern in the spring issue of Knit Simple that makes great use out of short rows.
