I just love receiving email from knitters who have completed one of my sweaters – especially when they send photos! Martha has outdone herself by knitting not one, but TWO Drunken Argyle vests.

Up, Up and Away
~ June 2007 ~
Sunday at the Victoria Knit-Out prooved to be a challenging day weatherwise. When we arrived to set up the tent there were grey skies and the rain was holding.
Guess who?
Yes, that’s who you think she is! Stephanie Pearl-McPhee a.k.a. the Yarn Harlot was standing directly in front of me while waiting for her introduction at her talk Saturday evening in Victoria.
Last minute details
Mechelle Lymburner, a photographer friend and the mother of one of Hana’s classmates offered to photograph some of my sweaters to use in posters for my tent at the Knit-Out. We threw the sweaters on some kids in the playground after school one day last week and had some fun.

~ May 2007 ~
Last night I managed to successfully add a new button to my website for the blog.
While I was at it I changed the images of the kids modeling my sweaters on my homepage.

Speed Knitting
~ May 2007 ~
My needles have been flying lately and it’s going to be a long haul flight! I have a merchant table at the upcoming Victoria FibreFest and Knit-Out on June 10 at Saxe Point Park in Esquimalt on Vancouver Island.
TV Yarn
Just received a package in the mail containing yarn – yipee! It’s called tvyarn and is handpainted by Jana of White Oak Studio.
The colourways for her hand painted yarn are inspired by the shows she watches on television while she knits.
Movement patterns
In preparation for a little presentation to my Guild tomorrow night, I’m going through my swatches and notes for a workshop I teach, Strategies for Knitting with Self-Patterning Sock Yarns. Some of my favourite stitch patterns to use with self-patterning sock yarns are what I call movement stitches.
