Size Inclusive

Size inclusive to a 77” / 195.5 cm finished chest measurement.

Sizing + Fit Notes
Sizing for smaller sizes is based on a 2″/5cm difference between full chest and upper chest. Upper chest is the measurement around the torso with the measuring tape at the underarm level.
For sizes 48, 51, 54, 58.25, and 62 there’s a 4″/10cm difference between full and upper chest.
For the largest sizes there’s a 6″/15cm difference between full and upper chest. This may be a little different than other patterns and reflects measurements of contemporary real-life bodies. In garment design, a 2/4/6″ (5/10/15 cm) difference between full and upper chest is referred to as a B/D/F cup respectively, which differ from bra cup sizes.

Construction

The cardigan is worked in pieces from the bottom up and seamed together. Set-in sleeves and English-tailored shoulders provide a beautiful fit, with neat ribbed edges. Instructions are provided for working buttonholes on either the right or left side, at the knitter’s discretion, with gender-inclusive language and a generous size range.

What's Included

Substitution Notes

Find a smooth, sport weight yarn with some wool content. Multiple plies and a tighter twist will provide lovely stitch definitions to make the cables really pop. A loftier yarn will also be lovely with the diamond motif appearing a little more blurred.
