Fisherman’s Weave Hat
$10 CAD
Two simple textures combine in a cozy, insulating hat. Working Garter Stitch ridges into a Fisherman’s Rib body creates strong visual interest with no fuss. Clean lines, warm, washable yarn, and a good range of sizes make this a unisex winner; keep it ruggedly plain or add a fluffy pom-pom to soften the look.

Construction
Fisherman’s Rib is the often-overlooked cousin to Brioche—it’s simpler to work but creates the same dense, squishy structure. The hat is worked in the round from the bottom up. Yardage estimates are for the slouchy version and include enough yarn for a pom-pom.

16 sts and 46 rnds = 4″ / 10 cm in Fisherman’s Rib in the round on larger needles, blocked and relaxed.
