Gumdrops Mittens KAL

Krista of RainCityKnits ☂ and I have decided to run a Gumdrops mittens knit along. This is a first for both of us and we’re hoping you’ll join us. We’re really excited to see what colour combinations people dream up.

Krista has yarn kits available in her shop in two colourways. Don’t forget that there is a 20% off coupon code in the pattern for your entire order from RainCityKnits ☂.Of course, you can go stash busting or use other yarn as well. In fact, these mittens are great for using up odds and ends.

When?: February 7 to March 21, 2014 (that’s 6 weeks)

We’ve set the start date to coincide with the Ravellenic Winter Games 2014 so you can double up and use this project for one of your events. Our end date is further down the road for those of you who aren’t as competitively spirited. These mittens are a quick knit, so six weeks should be plenty of time to order yarn and finish them.

Are there prizes?
You betcha! We’ll have Holli Yeoh patterns and Krista has promised some RainCityKnits ☂  yarn too. We’re still working out the details and will update this post when they are finalized.

How do you enter?

• Post a photo of your cast-on or WIP in the Gumdrops KAL Discussion thread AND start a project page with the photo(s) uploaded. Remember to wait until Feb 7 to cast on!
• For a second chance to win, post a photo of the completed pair of Gumdrops mittens in the Gumdrops KAL FO thread AND on your project page. Yes, you need to knit both mittens.
• For an extra chance to win, knit the Gumdrops mittens in RainCityKnits ☂ yarn. (Did you know that Krista has yarn kits in her store?)
• And for even more chances to win, you may knit as many pairs of mittens as you like, each pair potentially garnering you more entries as above.
