I’ve been hard at work this year collaborating with Felicia Lo of SweetGeorgia Yarns on a book! Tempest is a collection of 11 patterns, all designed by me with SweetGeorgia Yarns.
newsy bits

New Website
I love, love, love, L♥VE my new website! It’s a project I’ve been working quietly on for some time with my amazing web designer, Julie Matthews and her team at Julie & Co.

Rock ‘n Knit
One of the pieces in the exhibit, Low-Tech Factory offers a new interpretation on the rocking chair and on knitting. The chair is all about productive relaxation—the movement of the chair operates a simple circular knitting machine that produces a toque.
Yarn Bombing in Whistler
We took a quick little trip to Whistler on the Rocky Mountaineer train. What a great way to travel. Lovely views, tasty food and great service.
While wandering in the village, Hana spotted some yarn bombing.
60 More Quick Baby Knits
Today I received an email from Amazon recommending the book, 60 More Quick Baby Knits. I had a good laugh because it contains three of my designs! I just received the book myself from the publisher last Friday and it’s exciting to see the full collection of patterns with mine included.
Noro Magazine
I’ve been sitting on a little secret for a while, but I can share it now. The folks at Vogue Knitting are publishing a Noro magazine and it will be on the newsstands on June 5th.
Vancouver Yarn Bomb
Yesterday my husband told me that some bike stands downtown have been yarn bombed. I love that he thought of me when he saw them.
Check it out. They are on Dunsmuir St near Granville.
The Yarn Arrived
On Thursday (when I wasn’t at home) Fedex tried to deliver the yarn for the book projects I’ve been working on. I arranged to pick up the package on Friday to avoid another missed delivery.
Shozo Socks
Hana has new socks in yellows and golds—her favourite colours.
I test knit Shozo, a pattern written by Nigel, my step-father. It’s toe up with a great method for working the gusset, heel turn and even the heel “flap” looks like a conventional top-down sock.
