When we moved 1 1/2 years ago, you may recall that all of my workshop samples went missing.

Teaching in Edmonton
I’ll be teaching knitting workshops at River City Yarns in Edmonton this summer at the end of July and beginning of August.
In order to offer their customers the right mix of classes, RCY has asked them for feedback.
Two-Handed Two-Colour Knitting
I’m slogging away on my Rockin’ Sock Club stranded socks. I say “slogging” only because I’m finding the knitting awkward and I really need to do something about my technique. My hands cramp up and I’m having a hard time tensioning the yarn with my left hand.
It’s a helluva town!
Our trip to New York was wonderful. I ate up every minute of it and so enjoyed wandering through the various neighbourhoods.
Absolutely no knitting was accomplished on the trip because I hardly sat down, but I did manage to pop in to a few of the LYSs.
I cheated
I bought a pair of machine-knit socks made with Regia’s Kaffe Fassett Exotic, colourway Ember.
I popped into Dressew today to see if they’ve had a new shipment of discount yarn.
No Excuses
I’m trying to teach my daughter to not always have an excuse for when something goes wrong. I emphasize accepting responsibility for one’s own actions. I need to model that behavior. Sooo … it’s been a while, and I apologize for the silence.
Workshops in Edmonton
Happy belated Canada Day! We had a nice relaxing family time that included a play in the park and grilled salmon for dinner.

Arrested knitting
The workshops at River City Yarns in Edmonton were wonderful. I had great fun teaching them – I really enjoy sharing with other knitters.
