I’ve been busy sewing in ends on another new design—the one using the Regina yarn. I’m still loving the colours in which this yarn is available. I had a little set back when I found out that my favourite colour has been discontinued and I had planned a whole “colour story” based on that colour.

The hush, hush project made it into the mail in time and I just heard word that it was received in a town called Webster. Hana helped me block it when she was home sick with Strep throat.
I’ve been knitting fast and furious on my hush, hush project for the past week or so. I keep on having to wind more balls of yarn. This is encouraging—I’m over half way there!
It is the new year—the Chinese New Year—and we just celebrated with a delicious meal at a favourite restaurant with my in-laws last weekend. At the end of last year I was experiencing some frustrations sourcing the perfect yarn for some upcoming projects.

I gives me such a thrill when knitters send me pictures of the sweaters they’ve knit using my patterns. I love seeing the colourways they choose. I especially love it when they send a photo of the sweater in action–that is, being worn by the baby for whom it was knit.
Little Kate loved her Peacock. Well, she loved unwrapping it anyway! She also examined the label and the buttons and then waved the sweater around a bit before returning to the wonderfully crinkly paper.
This sweater needs to be finished tomorrow. As always, I knit it quickly, then stalled on the finishing. It’s blocked and ready to go. Just need to do some fancy seaming.
The swatch using larger needles for the Tangled Yoke Cardigan is done. I’m not completely convinced this will solve my puckering problem. It still puckers a bit because the sts that comprise the actual cables are pulling tighter than the background st st fabric.
My garment labels were ready last week and I just love them! I spent a little extra to have them made with all the colours that are on my business cards.
