How many designs are safe to juggle at the same time? I’m working on three sweaters I designed some time ago for Skacel (those pictures are of my original samples).

Creative Ennuie
What do you do to energize yourself and get your creative juices flowing? I’ve been completely uninspired lately. I’ll sit for long periods of time without knitting. This no knitting thing is kind of bizarre for me.

The many necks of Avery
Simply making everything proportionately larger did not work for upsizing Avery. Some changes and experimentation have been necessary.
The neck was a major challenge.

The Knitter’s Child
Poor Hana, I rarely knit for her any longer. Long ago she outgrew my children’s patterns. So last summer I decided it was time to upsize one of my favourite sweaters for her—Avery.

Intarsia Recap
Had a great workshop today with some of the Guild ladies. They asked some really great questions and I’m always so happy to share my knowledge.
I recreated several intarsia samples that were lost during our move last fall.

New Samples
I lost all my workshop samples during our move last Fall. I kept on hoping the bag of samples would turn up under a pile of boxes. No such luck.
So now I’m reknitting intarsia samples for my workshop this weekend with the West Coast Knitters’ Guild.

Check Your Gauge!
You know, when I knit someone else’s design I always knit a gauge swatch. When I develop a new design myself, I always knit a gauge swatch. But when I knit one of my own designs using sock yarn I must confess, I never swatch.

All Wrapped Up
I know, Christmas is long over, but I wanted to show you the gifts I knit for my two neices. I must confess, I was a little behind with my Christmas knitting and the girls finally got them for Chinese New Year.

Local Workshops
I would like to invite you ‘locals’ to join me for a couple of workshops presented by the West Coast Knitters’ Guild. There will be other instructors and workshops throughout the weekend of May 1 and 2.
