Crochet lends itself so nicely to making three-dimensional stuffed creatures. The denser fabric—especially when working on a smaller hook—really creates a firm structure that doesn’t stretch out of shape when stuffed. Consequently the finished stuffies aren’t floppy.

The Next Generation
Another crop of crafters are well on their way to finding their true passion. Noon-hour classes at my son’s elementary school have been keeping me busy.
My 7 and 8-yr-old knitters just love the sparkly knitting needles I made for them out of double-pointed needles.

When I’m quiet it usually means I’m busy, especially at this time of year … busy working on Christmas preparations and gifts.
As I’ve mentioned before, video games are an all consuming theme in the life of my 9-year-old.
