My eyes are going. I’ve been in denial about this for a while now. I couldn’t really understand before when my mum would said that she could only knit with dark coloured yarn during the day with good strong light over her shoulder.

On-the-road knitting
While on our road trip I had lots of time for knitting. Although prone to motion sickness, I did discover that I can easily work in stocking stitch as long as I don’t need to look down much.
Avery update
I’ve been working on a little of everything lately, but wanted to let you know how Avery is coming along. I’ve finished the front and blocked both the front and back.
Speedy delivery
On Tuesday evening I decided I wanted to knit a black lacy cardigan. There’s a pattern I like in the recent Spring/Summer 2007 Vogue Knitting and Elann had a rayon/cotton/linen blend called Callista on special.
On the move
Our two weeks in Edmonton have drawn to a close and we returned home this morning. The time went all too quickly. We didn’t get a chance to do all the activities we had planned and although I had a chance to get a lot of knitting and some designing done, it wasn’t anywhere near as much as I brought with me!
Wool Revival
Wool Revival is one of my favourite LYSs in Edmonton. Owner, Bonnie really encouraged me to publish my designs and she was the first shop owner to place an order of my first pattern, Candace almost 4 years ago.
Little boy blue
Hana’s outgrown Avery sweater sample received a lot of attention at the Victoria Knit-Out last month and it’s in a discontinued yarn. It’s time to knit a new one in a yarn I carry so that knitters can see just how great it looks in another colourway too!
Time to share
I just love receiving email from knitters who have completed one of my sweaters – especially when they send photos! Martha has outdone herself by knitting not one, but TWO Drunken Argyle vests.
My Little Ponies
Pearls, that is. I’ve been looking everywhere for a Canadian source for Pony Pearl dpns. I found them at the Beehive Wool Shop in Victoria when I participated in the yarn crawl at the Victoria Fibre Festival.
Up, Up and Away
~ June 2007 ~
Sunday at the Victoria Knit-Out prooved to be a challenging day weatherwise. When we arrived to set up the tent there were grey skies and the rain was holding.
