This sweater needs to be finished tomorrow. As always, I knit it quickly, then stalled on the finishing. It’s blocked and ready to go. Just need to do some fancy seaming.

Knitterly Christmas
I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season. I was particularly blessed this Christmas with family, friends and some wonderful gifts a knitter would love!
Look at what my husband gave me!
In the classroom
I have been volunteering in Hana’s class again this year and it’s been really nice to get to know her classmates. Hana is in a grade 2/3 split class and I’ve been showing them how to make pom-poms and most recently we’ve been spool knitting again.
Mystery Yarn
Miss Terwilliger, as any one from Centerburg can tell you, is one of the town’s best known and best loved citizens. She runs knitting classes and in years past has taught almost every woman in Centerburg how to knit.
Tangled Swatch
The swatch using larger needles for the Tangled Yoke Cardigan is done. I’m not completely convinced this will solve my puckering problem. It still puckers a bit because the sts that comprise the actual cables are pulling tighter than the background st st fabric.
Three Perfect Peaches
We found another knitting illustration in a book we borrowed from the library. Since the story has nothing to do with knitting it’s like a little hidden gem to find a bit of knitting tucked between the pages.
Tight Tangled Cables
My Tangled Yoke Cardigan is coming along nicely. In fact, it’s almost done. The horizontally running cables were a breeze. Well, except for keeping track of my stitch count and all those repeats over 350+ sts.
New Labels!
My garment labels were ready last week and I just love them! I spent a little extra to have them made with all the colours that are on my business cards.
Goodnight Moon
Thanks to illustrator, Clement Hurd, this little children’s book has a knitting reference in the illustrations. Goodnight Moon is a classic baby/children’s bedtime story and one I read many times to Hana in her early years.
