I’ve started a Christmas gift for my son’s teacher. My deadline is Friday since that’s the last day of school before the Christmas break. I’m knitting my new lacey scarf pattern called Beaded Beauty.
Beaded Beauty
$5.00 CAD
Embedded with beads, this lacey scarf is an elegant addition to any wardrobe. Wrap it around your neck a couple of times and tie it at your throat for an opulent ascot or wrap it once around your neck and fling it over both shoulders. The weight of the beads holds the feather-light kid mohair in place when you wear it.
The natural bias of the simple lace pattern creates a graceful diagonal point at both ends which looks difficult, but is simple to achieve.
You should be able to get two scarves out of one ball of kid mohair. I’m using Adriafil’s Kid Mohair in the top photo and the other photos feature elann.com’s Super Kydd. Elann’s Silken Kydd is lovely as is Rowan’s Kid Silk Haze.
