There are alternatives to using self-patterning yarns in my designs. Handpainted yarns look wonderful. I just finished my latest Ruby and I’m loving it. Francesca at Three Bags Full let me choose the colours to knit for their new store sample. There were several of us in the store and the concensus for the coordinating solid was this lovely red colour.
I picked up the yarn before our move and I must admit that knitting became a low priority for a while there. Now I’m getting back into the swing of things and finished off this sweater last night. The smallest size takes only two skeins each of Koigu multi and solid. I have an extra skein of each which I need to find in one of my yarn boxes and then I’ll be delivering the sample and the yarn to Three Bags Full. Watch for it in the store this week.
