Carmen over at MelonHead tagged me earlier. I have a moment while Devan’s busying himself making signs with a pad of post-it notes.
What are you wearing now? Jeans, long-sleeved t-shirt, these handknit socks.
How often do you blog? Not often enough! It averages to about twice a week probably.
Who was the last person you hugged? Devan, when I picked him up from school.
Which item from your closet are you wearing most lately? My jeans. Always my jeans.
What’s for dinner? Homemade macaroni and cheese with whole grain noodles and white cheddar cheese. It’s just Devan and me tonight, so he gets his favourite.
What’s the last thing you bought? Knitting needles, crochet hooks and yarn for some noon-hour classes I’m teaching at Devan’s school.
What are you listening to right now? My window’s open, so I hear street traffic and children’s delighted shrieks from the playground just up the street from me.
If you could have any super power what would it be? To stay awake indefinitely and not require any sleep—just imagine what I could accomplish with an extra 7 hours in the day!
What is your favourite weather and why? Sun and warmth. I’m always cold.
What time do you usually get up? 7:15 a.m.—I’m not a morning person and it’s the latest I can get up to get Devan to school on time.
What is your most challenging goal right now? Getting this post to work in my blog without a stack overflow error!
Say something about the person who tagged you. I find my get-togethers with Carmen so invigorating and creatively inspirational. She’s such a busy person with her own business that in the past I’ve had to stalk her at her shows just to get some face time with her. It’s time to start stalking again-it’s been too long.
If you could have a house-totally paid for, fully furnished-anywhere in the world, where would you want it to be? If I’m going to day dream about fully-furnished gratis houses, why not dream big and have several? I would love a big house right here in Kitsilano, where I currently live. I would also love to live right on the coast, perhaps in the Tofino area on Vancouver Island or the South shore outside of Halifax. Ooo, Paris would be nice and a stone farmhouse in rural England would be wonderful. We can’t forget a tropical location too, perhaps Bermuda.
Favourite vacation spot? Recently we’ve been enjoying family vacations in Oregon. I also really love traveling to Europe—Spain, England and France amony my favourites.
Name the things you cannot live without. Family, knitting and books.
What movies can you watch over and over again? British period movies such as almost any version of the Jane Austen classics.
What is your favorite tea? Tea? I prefer espresso-based coffee drinks like lattés.
I’ll tag Nigel, my step-father and he can decide which of his many blogs he’ll put it on: Knitting the Camino, Knit Knigel or Travellin’ Light. I’ll also tag domesticshorthair and Kim of Trois Oiseaux because I would like to know more about them!
