I gives me such a thrill when knitters send me pictures of the sweaters they’ve knit using my patterns. I love seeing the colourways they choose. I especially love it when they send a photo of the sweater in action–that is, being worn by the baby for whom it was knit.
Val recently sent me two pictures of sweaters both knit for a special little man in her life–“Sweet Baby James” as she calls him! Val used her knitting machine to make the Avery; the ribbing and colourwork was knit by hand. In just a few short hours she is able to knit a complete sweater. Val also sent me a sweater of little James himself wearing a beautiful Devan. Val says,
The Christmas sweater, in reds and greens, is one of my all time faves for sweaters I have knitted.
I have to agree. The tweedy self-striping yarn just makes this project.
At a recent Guild meeting, Wendy showed me the Candace she knit using Opal yarns that she won at a workshop she took from me last spring. Wendy donated the sweater to the Guild’s sale to raise money for our charity of choice, Nova House, a transition house for women and children traumatized by violence.
Thank you for sharing and keep them coming! Take a look at the Customer Gallery page on my website for more examples of what other knitters have made with my patterns.
