Day one of new pattern releases. For the first eight days of November we’ll be releasing a new pattern each day. Check back often to see more.
These colourful gloves feature a network of stitches around the knuckles while the wide side gusset offers a roomier fit and lots of mobility. The colour flows unbroken from the gusset to the tip of the thumb, which you complete before the entrelac panel starts. For an even sharper contrast, work the entrelac panel from the other end of the ball.
This pattern is worked in Noro Silk Garden Sock and works equally as well with Noro Kureyon Sock. Fingering weight or sock yarns with a slow colour change or hand painted yarns will look lovely knitted up in this pattern. You could even change yarn or colour for the entrelac portion of the glove and then return to the main colour.
Use this glove as an opportunity to learn how to knit back backwards, but it’s not necessary to follow the pattern. The entrelac rows are so short that it won’t be too taxing.
The pattern includes suggestions for fit and row by row instructions for working the entrelac panel.
