I love how short rows can create undulating lines when worked in stripes; it’s fun to design using short rows.
I have a blanket pattern in the spring issue of Knit Simple that makes great use out of short rows. The Short Rows Stripes Blanket is worked in six analagous colours in light and dark tones with a seventh contrasting colour that pops.
While there are a lot of colours, only one colour is used at a time. Bonus, while working the applied i-cord edging it’s really easy to hide all the ends inside the i-cord so that there are next to no weaving in.
A few knitters on Ravelry have completed the blanket and most of them loved the original colourway so much they repeated it. The last knitter used remnants from other projects and what a great idea to use this project as a stash buster!
