Glacial Slide Scarf knitting pattern by Holli Yeoh

Glacial Slide Scarf

No shaping, no purling, this ultra simple scarf shows that you can make lovely things using only the knit stitch and flat knitting. Colours are changed using a “swing needle” style, a simple technique that takes advantage of circular needles, so each color is only worked one row at a time.

The Glacial Slide Scarf is worked flat length-wise in a modified garter stitch. Each garter row is knit twice by sliding stitches across a circular needle to work again with contrast colour, before turning work to repeat with each colour. Includes optional two-colour fringe.
